وزير البترول يتفقد موقع شركة برينكو بشمال سيناء في ضوء توقيع إتفاقية لإعادة إسناد منطقة شمال سيناء البحرية

القاهرة، سبتمبر 2025: أعلنت شركة برينكو شمال سيناء للبترول، التابعة للشركة القابضة المصرية الكويتية والتي أشير إليها سابقاً باسم شركة "امتياز حقل الغاز بمنطقة شمال سيناء البحرية"، عن توقيع اتفاقية جديدة مع وزارة البترول والثروة المعدنية، تهدف إلى إعادة إسناد منطقة شمال سيناء البحرية مدته عشرة أعوام ممتدة حتي عام 2035. ونصت الاتفاقية على حفر 3 آبار استكشافية للبحث عن البترول والغاز الطبيعي في منطقة التزام شمال سيناء البحرية. يأتي هذا الإعلان بالتزامن مع زيارة المهندس كريم بدوي، وزير البترول والثروة المعدنية، إلى مواقع التسهيلات البرية والبحرية التابعة للشركة في شمال سيناء، والتي أُجريت يوم السبت الموافق 20 سبتمبر.

أكد المهندس كريم بدوي، وزير البترول والثروة المعدنية خلال الزيارة أن هذه الاتفاقيات تعكس الثقة المتزايدة من جانب الشركات العالمية في مناخ الاستثمار بقطاع البترول المصري، وتبرز نجاح الوزارة في طرح مزايدات جاذبة وتطبيق سياسات تحفيز ساهمت في فتح آفاق جديدة للبحث والاستكشاف، بما يدعم خطط الوزارة لزيادة الإنتاج وتأمين احتياجات السوق المحلي.

قام بتوقيع الاتفاقية المهندس رأفت البلتاجي الرئيس التنفيذى والممثل عن شركات برينكو، والمهندس صلاح عبد الكريم الرئيس التنفيذي للهيئة المصرية العامة للبترول، وذلك بحضور المهندس كريم بدوي وزير البترول والثروة المعدنية، والسيد جون روك العضو المنتدب للشركة القابضة المصرية الكويتية، التي تُعد شركة برينكو شمال سيناء إحدى شركاتها التابعة.

وتهدف الاتفاقية إلى إعادة إسناد منطقة شمال سيناء البحرية لشركات برينكو شمال سيناء، بما يعزز من فرص الاستكشاف وتنمية الاحتياطيات في المنطقة، وبما يتماشي مع إستراتيجية الدولة لزيادة معدلات الإنتاج خلال السنوات المقبلة.

في هذه المناسبة أعرب جون روك العضو المنتدب للشركة القابضة المصرية الكويتية، عن سعادته بتوقيع الاتفاقية الجديدة مع وزارة البترول والثروة المعدنية، وقال: "تُعد هذه الاتفاقية دليلاً واضحًا على دور الشركة المصرية الكويتية القابضة كشريك موثوق في دفع عجلة التنمية في قطاع الطاقة في مصر. فمن خلال الاستفادة من سجلنا الحافل وشراكاتنا العالمية، نعمل على خلق فرص جديدة للاستكشاف، ونقل الخبرات، وتوفير وظائف قيمة للشباب المصري". وأضاف: "نظل ملتزمين بتحقيق نمو مستدام وفعّال، بما يعزز استمرار تنافسية قطاع الطاقة المصري عالمياً."

الجدير بالذكر أن شركة برينكو شمال سيناء للبترول تدير الإمتياز منذ عام 2014، حيث حققت خلال هذه الفترة عددًا من الإنجازات المهمة. وتدير الشركة حاليًا ستة آبار ضمن منطقة امتياز تبلغ مساحتها 443 كيلومترًا مربعًا في البحر المتوسط، مع إضافات تراكمية للاحتياطيات بلغت 223 مليار قدم مكعب حتى 31 ديسمبر 2024، وبمتوسط إنتاج يومي بلغ 53 مليون قدم مكعب قياسي خلال عام 2024. وعلى مدار السنوات الماضية، قامت الشركة بحفر أكثر من 12 بئرًا، مدعومة بتركيب ستة منصات بحرية، بالإضافة إلى خط أنابيب بطول 43 كيلومترًا يربط المنصات الجديدة بالشبكة الرئيسية. وتجدر الإشارة إلى أن العمليات تضمنت إنجازًا بارزًا يُعد الأول من نوعه في مصر باستخدام وحدة إنتاج بحرية متنقلة .(MOPU)

Eng. Karim Badawi, Minister of Petroleum, Inspects Perenco North Sinai’s Site Following Agreement to reassign the North Sinai Offshore concession

Cairo, September, 2025 - Perenco North Sinai Petroleum, formerly referred to as “offshore North Sinai” and a subsidiary of Egypt Kuwait Holding, announced the signing of a new agreement with the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources to reassign the North Sinai Offshore concession. The concession has been reassigned for a 10-year term, extending until 2035, which includes the drilling of three exploratory wells for oil and natural gas in the North Sinai Offshore concession area. The announcement coincided with the visit of H.E. Eng. Karim Badawi, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, to the company’s onshore and offshore facilities in North Sinai on Saturday, September 20.

During the visit, Eng. Karim Badawi, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, affirmed that these agreements reflect the growing confidence of international companies in the investment climate of Egypt’s petroleum sector. He highlighted that they underscore the ministry’s success in launching attractive bid rounds and implementing incentive policies that have opened new horizons for exploration, supporting the ministry’s plans to boost production and secure the needs of the local market.

The agreement was signed by Eng. Raafat El Beltagy, CEO and representative of Perenco companies, and Eng. Salah Abdelkarim, CEO of the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC), in the presence of Eng. Karim Badawi, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, and Mr. Jon Rokk, CEO of Egypt Kuwait Holding, whose subsidiary is Perenco North Sinai.

Under the agreement, the North Sinai offshore area is being reassigned to Perenco North Sinai, creating new opportunities for exploration and reserve development in line with Egypt’s strategy to maximize production rates in the years ahead.

Commenting on the signing, Jon Rokk, CEO of Egypt Kuwait Holding, said: “This agreement is a clear demonstration of Egypt Kuwait Holding’s role as a trusted partner in advancing Egypt’s energy future. By leveraging our strong track record and global partnerships, we are creating new exploration opportunities, transferring know-how, and generating high-value jobs for Egyptian youth.”

It is worth mentioning that Perenco North Sinai Petroleum has been operating the concession since 2014, achieving a number of significant milestones. The company currently operates six wells across a 443 km² concession area in the Mediterranean, with an additional reserve of 223 BCF as of 31st of December 2024, and average daily production of 53 MMSCFD in 2024. Over the years, more than 12 wells have been drilled, supported by the installation of six platforms and a 43-km flowline connecting new platforms to the main system. Notably, the operation also marked a first in Egypt with the use of a Mobile Offshore Production Unit (MOPU).
